Do you already have a business VoIP service?

If you're using Dialpad, RingCentral, Zoom Phone, or another business phone service, you'll need to connect the tel: protocol with it. Each service has their own setup guide for enabling click-to-call - check their documentation or support for "tel protocol setup" or "click-to-dial configuration."

Can't figure out your business VoIP setup? No worries - you can use Google Voice temporarily while you sort it out.

Don't have business VoIP? Perfect - Google Voice is the easiest way to get started and it's free. You can be up and running in under 5 minutes (instructions below).

šŸ’” Long-term tip: If you plan to use Google Voice long-term with Freigent, consider upgrading to one of their business plans for better features and reliability.

āœ… Why Google Voice is the best option for Freigent:

Google Voice has the deepest integration with our platform. We've built special features just for Google Voice users - including automatic call ending and a custom click-to-dial extension that makes your workflow even smoother.

You can start with a free account and get a real US phone number in minutes. It works great for click-to-call right out of the box, and our custom integrations make it even better than other phone services.

The best part? You can start free and see how it works for you. If you love it and plan to stick around long-term, you can always upgrade to one of their paid plans for more features.

Getting set up is simple:

  1. Head over to voice.google.com
  2. Pick a phone number in your area code
  3. Verify it with your existing phone
  4. Test the links above - and you're done!

We recommend starting here - it's free, fast to set up, and has exclusive Freigent integrations you won't get with other services.

Services like Dialpad, RingCentral, or Zoom Phone will work with click-to-call once configured. Your existing setup should handle tel: links automatically.
