Freigent works inside Claude, on claude.ai and in the desktop app: it lists the load offers in the inbox connected to Freigent, works out a counter from your own numbers, and sends the reply you approve in the same email thread. Nothing is sent without your OK. There is no key to paste: Claude signs in with your Freigent account. The same steps are on the setup page (brokers: the broker version).
You need a Freigent account (the free plan includes 10 negotiations a month; one counts once the other side replies). If you don't have one, you create it in the sign-in window. The steps are for a computer.
Install the plugin (skills and connector)
The Freigent plugin brings three skills (get-started, negotiate-load, carrier-clear-my-queue) and the Freigent connector.
- Download the Freigent plugin for Claude.
- Open claude.ai/customize/plugins (Customize, then Plugins).
- Click Add, then Upload plugin. Choose the file and click Upload.
- In the plugin's Connectors tab, click Connect on Freigent. If Claude asks for the OAuth client, choose Register automatically.
- Sign in to Freigent and click Allow Access.
Then click Try in chat (or turn Freigent on under + in a chat) and ask "Which brokers replied?" (brokers: "Which carriers quoted on my loads?"). In Claude, a button on a Freigent card puts its request in the chat box; press Enter to send it.
Or add only the connector
If your workspace does not allow uploading plugins, add the connector instead (the tools without the skills):
- Open claude.ai/customize/connectors and click Add custom connector.
- Name: Freigent. URL:
https://app.freigent.ai/api/mcp. If Claude asks for the OAuth client, choose Register automatically. - Click Add, then Connect. Sign in to Freigent and click Allow Access.
On a Team or Enterprise plan, an Owner can add the connector once under Organization settings, Connectors, Add, Custom, Web; then each person opens Customize, Connectors, finds Freigent and clicks Connect.
On the sign-in screen
Freigent's consent screen lists what Claude can read and what it can do only when you say so. If you belong to more than one company, choose the one to connect: a connection works on one company. To use another company, connect again and choose it (see Troubleshooting).
Then connect your inbox
Freigent reads the offers that reach the email connected to it. In the Freigent app, connect Gmail or Outlook under Settings, Email, or forward offers to your Freigent address, or paste an offer into the chat to try it right away.
What it will and won't do
It sends only the reply you approve, never a counter below your minimum (or above a broker's ceiling), and never puts those numbers in an email. It does not quote a market rate and does not search load boards. More in Freigent in ChatGPT and Claude.
