Overview
Freigent centralizes all carrier communication — broker emails, driver messages, team chat — in one place. The AI handles routine communication so you don't have to type the same status update email 50 times a day.
Email Integration
Connect your existing email (Gmail, Outlook, or any IMAP provider) and Freigent:
- Shows all your email in a unified inbox
- AI reads incoming messages and categorizes them (load offer, status request, payment inquiry, etc.)
- AI drafts responses based on context (load status, rate negotiation, invoice follow-up)
- You review and send, or let the AI handle it automatically
AI Email Handling
The AI handles these common email types:
- Load offers — extracts details, evaluates rate, drafts response
- Status requests — checks GPS/ELD, sends current status
- Rate negotiations — counter-offers, justifications, acceptance
- Invoice inquiries — payment status, document resend
- Booking confirmations — rate con details, pickup instructions
- Check calls — routine status updates to brokers
Branded Email
Every Freigent organization gets a professional branded email subdomain included free. Instead of dispatching from a Gmail account, you send from [email protected] (or your own domain if configured).
Team Messaging
Real-time chat for your team:
- Channel-based messaging (by department, by team, by topic)
- Direct messages between team members
- Message threading for organized discussions
- File sharing and attachments
- Persistent across sessions — messages don't disappear
Driver Communication
Drivers communicate through the Freigent mobile app:
- Load details and pickup/delivery instructions
- Turn-by-turn route information
- Status update submissions (arrived, loaded, delivered)
- Photo uploads (BOL, POD, damage documentation)
- Direct messaging with dispatch
- Push notifications for new assignments and updates
The app replaces the need for constant phone calls between dispatch and drivers. Drivers get their assignments, submit updates, and upload documents — all from their phone.
Communication Automation
The AI automatically handles routine status communications:
- Loaded confirmation — sent to broker when driver confirms pickup
- Delivered confirmation — sent when driver confirms delivery
- Status updates — periodic updates during transit
- Delay notifications — proactive communication when something changes
- Appointment changes — rebooking notifications
You control which communications go out automatically and which require your approval.
Voice Calls
For situations that require a phone call (urgent escalations, driver coaching, complex negotiations), Freigent supports AI voice agents that can:
- Make outbound calls
- Handle routine check calls
- Conduct onboarding calls for new users
- Escalate to a human when needed
